The Lelia Patterson Center’s annual triathlon in Fletcher, NC went retro for the 2014 season. Sanctioned by the USA Triathlon Retro Series, and produced by iDaph Events, the newly updated LPC Retro Triathlon required an equally updated logo befitting the retro theme. The background, or skin, of the registration site needed and deserved a facelift. As a location where participants spend a good deal of time confirming their registration and selecting their particular preferences, it was important to take the opportunity to reinforce brand recognition as well as evoke a sense of yearning for the event itself….
The LPC Triathlon, from iDaph Events needed an updated logo and complimentary graphics when it went retro. I kept some of the existing logo elements, so the brand was maintained, and gave it some retro flair while incorporating accompanying credentials. November 2013.
